SUNDERLAND WORKER STARS AS VOICE OF MORE TH>N IN NEW TV AD CAMPAIGN

Chris Croshaw, a 35 year old business trainer who works in Doxford International Business Park, has been chosen to star in a major new advertising campaign from the Sunderland based direct insurer.

MORE TH>N held a nationwide ‘X Factor’ style competition amongst its 1,700 staff to find the ‘Voice of MORE TH>N’, and Chris beat off stiff competition before heading to London for further auditions with the ad agency.

Chris has worked for MORE TH>N for over thirteen years and answered the first ever call in the company’s call centre on Doxford Park when it opened in 1993.

“When I first saw the competition I thought it’d be a bit of a giggle, I’m used to talking a lot in my job and making subjects come to life so making the scripts lively came quite naturally. To have pride in your company is a rare commodity these days and I want to make a difference to our success,” Chris said.

Designed to bring to life the ethos of MORE TH>N, the ad campaign highlights particular product features or benefits that clearly demonstrate what ‘MORE is …’ and through these shows how the company does more for its customers.

Explaining the reason for choosing a member of staff, Mike Holliday-Williams, MORE TH>N’s managing director, said: “Our campaign shows how we do more for our customers and we decided the promises would sound more genuine if they came from a member of staff rather than a professional voiceover artist. We knew we had a lot of talent within our business and in Chris we’ve discovered a real star.”

MORE TH>N’s campaign kicked off with a TV ad on 20 January, with radio ads following in February, and runs throughout the remainder of the year.
